Punjab Minister for Tourism, Cultural Affairs, Labour, Investment Promotion and Grievance Disposal, Anmol Gagan Mann said here today that to sensitise youth about the legacy and sacrifices of the martyrs , it is necessary to observe their birthdays and martyrdom days.
Minister for Tourism and Cultural Affairs Anmol Gagan Mann, came here to review the preparations for the state-level birthday celebrations of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh scheduled on September 28 at Khatkar Kalan.
.After paying obeisance to the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam, said that our heroes like Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh will always live in our thoughts. It is our responsibility now how to carry their legacy and history to our generations. She said that Sardar Bhagat Singh stood and fought for the freedom of the people of the country to save the country men from the stigma of slavery. He kissed the gallows rope laughingly and gave priority to dying for the country at an advanced age, which will be remembered always.
She said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan will come to pay obeisance to Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh in the state-level function being organized by the Punjab government on the occasion of birth anniversary. She said that the Aam Aadmi Party is committed to fulfill the dreams of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh and is taking historic decisions towards providing honest and transparent governance by following the path shown by Shaeed-e-Azam.
The Minister appealed to the people that on the day of Shaheed-e-Azam's birth anniversary, we should light candles in our homes and hoist the tricolor to remember him and take a pledge that for the motive, he attained sacrifice, let us support Bhagwant Maan Government to fulfil that.
Prominent among the persons present there included MLA Santosh Kataria, DC NPS Randhawa, SSP Bhagirath Singh Meena, Senior Leaders of AAP, Lalit Mohan Pathak and Kuljeet Singh Sarhal.
