NGT gives clean chit to Malbros Liquor Factory, Zira, DC asks protesters to end strike or sit 300 meters away from factory

Ferozepur, September 30, 2022: After the NGT report regarding the Malbros Liquor Factory located at Zira, Deputy Commissioner Amrit Singh, SSP Surindera Lamba, ADC Sagar Setia, and SDM Zira Inderpal specially arrived to talk to the protestors in front of the factory.
Meanwhile, the DC while talking to the protestors gave them detailed information about the NGT report and the orders of the High Court.
She said that according to the samples that were asked to be taken by the protestors or the villagers, all the samples were taken by the concerned departments and all these samples and reports were sent to the NGT, which was investigated by two private labs. And now NGT has given a clean chit to this factory.
She said that according to the report, all the samples and reports have been received, due to which this factory cannot be closed as per the orders.
She asked the protesters to end their sit-in as per the orders of the High Court. But if they do not agree with the results of this report, they can file a legal appeal in this regard or they can stage their protest at a distance of 300 meters from the factory. She said that they cannot stop the employees coming into the factory or any other kind of traffic.
Meanwhile, she talked to various office bearers of the protestors and informed them about this report and the orders of the High Court.
She said that the claim made by the protestors regarding the factory is that the water of the factory is dirty due to which cancer disease is spreading among the people of the area, while according to the NGT report, no such discharge has been released from the factory.
On this occasion, SSP Surinder Lamba also told the protestors that if the report is not acceptable, then it is their right to stage a protest but they can stage their protest from a distance of 300 meters from the factory following the rules of the law.
Earlier, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sagar Setia also informed the protestors about the NGT report and asked them to end their sit-in.
