Police-BSF hold meeting to prevent anti-social elements activities on Int’l border
Ferozepour, December 1, 2022: The police and border security force officers on Thursday had a coordination meeting to prevent the anti-social elements activities on International border and to ensure adequate security arrangements to maintain law and order besides to ensure the protection of life and property of the general public.
Ferozepur is a border district and a large part of it touches the Pakistan border where the anti-social elements carry out their activities. However, all possible efforts are being made by the district police to put a check on any illegal activities along the border.
Ranjit Singh Dhillon DIG and Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP along with DIG BSF HQ Ferozepur visited the defence line area and discussions were held in a meeting over the suspected activities of anti-social elements across the International border.
She said, in coordination by senior officials of both agencies, a strategy was formulated to deal with these anti-social elements. She further informed that the police department and BSF had drawn a detailed program to deal with anti-social elements, under which various types of operations in border areas (especially sensitive areas) and in the coming few days’ anti-social elements will be arrested. More efforts are being made to build a better relationship with the residents of the area and appeal to the people of the area was made to cooperate with the security agencies so that the plans of anti-social elements are checked to restore the law and order in the area.
