Ludhiana Police Commissioner & Senior Police officers visit PAU Life Museum

Ludhiana, February 6,2023: Police Commissioner of Ludhiana Mandeep Singh, IPS, along with senior police officers visited PAU Museum of Rural Life, last week.
In his remarks, the Commissioner while admiring the ancient memorabilia stated that the rural life museum at PAU is a treasure of Punjabi heritage to be passed on to the future generations.
“I believe the museum with its depiction of the rural Punjabi way of life and farming is historic in its cultural and social relevance”, said Sidhu while urging citizens to visit the place with their families.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal welcomed the dignitaries and revealed that the museum is the brainchild of former Vice Chancellor, Dr MS Randhawa.
He also shared that the museum has been acknowledged as a historical monument and placed on the website of the tourism map of the state. In his address, the Vice Chancellor briefed about the university’s endeavours in preserving the Punjabi heritage and culture.
Dr Tejinder Singh Riar, Additional Director of Communication, while welcoming the guests, gave an overview of ancient peasantry tools, household equipment, and handicrafts made by women of yore and on display at the museum.
He concluded with the hope that government officials from various departments would visit the museum and connect with their roots.
Senior PAU officers as well as those from the police force were present at the occasion.
