BSF foils smuggling attempt, seizes 1.540 kg heroin in 3 packets
Ferozepur/Amritsar, September 27, 2023: On Tuesday, at about 7.30 PM, alert Border Security Force troops deployed at border, heard dropping sound of something near Border Fence in the area near Village - Daoke, Distt - Amritsar.
During subsequent search of the area, BSF troops recovered three packets of narcotics, wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, suspected to be heroin (Gross weight - appx 1.540 Kg) along the border fence. A purple colour polyester bag was also found ahead of the border fence.
Another nefarious attempt of Pakistani smugglers to smuggle narcotics, was foiled by vigilant BSF troops.
