One held with fake Indian currency notes worth Rs.18,500 in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 24, 2024: The Ferozepur police claimed to have arrested one person with fake currency notes.
Randhir Kumar, SP(I) said that the police team during patrolling arrested Subheg Singh son of Kartar Singh of village Sharih Wala under Lakho Ke Behram police station in Ferozepur, with fake currency notes of Rs.18,500 one mobile phone and one motorcycle, by the police and booked under Sections 420/489-A/489-B/489-C.
Gurdeep Singh, Investigating Officer said, he was on patrol with the police party to search for a suspicious youth. Input was received that a young man was using fake Indian currency and coming on a bike. Surveillance was mounted upon the activities of the suspected person involved in counterfeit currency. Our efforts paid off and we busted a racket that was involved in the illegal activities.
Police sources further said the further investigations are on special focus as to who others are involved in this crime and the raw materials and tools such laptops, printers and lamination machines that the arrested person used or arranged from some other sources. The trafficking and circulation of high-quality FICN in this area and adjoining cities or districts poses a serious threat to the national security and financial stability of the country or the fake currency has been arranged from across the border.
However, it would also be ascertained as to where the accused hatched a conspiracy to establish a setup for the printing of FICN to earn quick and easy money, who the mastermind of this racket is and how much money they have printed and circulated so fa
