Ferozepur police get ‘Third Eye’ to check crime, monitor traffic
MLA Bhullar starts installation of CCTV cameras at 73 places in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, March 3, 2024: From hit-and-run incidents to thefts and abduction to murder, the importance of CCTV footage as evidence and analysis of the incident has increased every year. The police have finally got the ‘third eye’ that they have been waiting for the past many years.
The police have been feeling helpless as several cases were not solved in the absence of CCTV cameras that could have provided vital clues to monitor important traffic junctions and crowded areas from the monitoring centre. The cameras are vital in preventing and investigating crime
Now, the 'Third Eye' will help to strengthen the police in Ferozepur with the installation of 73 CCTV cameras, which was started by Ranbir Singh Bhullar, MLA Urban.
MLA Bhullar said the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working on the path of progress and the government is working on a war footing to bring more law and order reforms in Punjab.
Bhullar said that CCTV cameras are being installed in Ferozepur city and cantonment to keep an eye on anti-social elements for the safety of people.
Thanking Sandeep Pathak, MP, Bhullar MLA said that hi-tech cameras will be installed at 73 different places in Ferozepur city from the MP land fund. He said that the first phase has started today and 200 to 250 cameras will be installed in the first phase.
He said that installing CCTV cameras will help a lot in catching the mischievous elements and the incidents of theft in the city will also be caught. He said that with the installation of these cameras, the city and the cantonment will be monitored by the police and these CCTV cameras.
Bhullar MLA said that with the help of these cameras, the traffic problem in the city and the cantonment will be solved and if anyone violates the traffic rules, he will also face the music of law.
On this occasion, Market Committee Chairman Balraj Singh Katora, Municipal Council Engineer Charanpal, Manjit Thind, Sandeep Dhawan, Lakhwinder Singh, Raj Kumar, Daler Singh, Dilbar, Shahbaj Singh, Jasbir Singh, Gagan, Sukhwinder Singh, Amarinder Brar, Rajnish Sharma, Manpreet Singh, Pratt Mall, Deepak, Kumar Jot Sidhu, Himanshu Thakkar, Jagdeep Mintu, and the officers of the police department were also present.
