SVEEP team highlights ethical voting on Sangrand Day
Ferozepur, May 14, 2025: Urging for active participation in Punjab polling during the Lok Sabha Elections on June 1, the SVEEP team highlighted ethical voting on Sangrand Day.
Acting by directives from Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman, and Assistant Returning Officer cum Sub Divisional Magistrate, Gagandeep Singh, the team engaged with communities across various Gurdwara Sahibs in the border region of Ferozepur district.
During their outreach on Sangrand, the team encouraged voters to mark their calendars for the Punjab Lok Sabha elections on June 1. Parvinder Singh Lalchian, the SVEEP coordinator of constituency Guruharshai, addressed congregations at Gurdwara Sahib villages Lalchian, Wadian, Megha Rai Uttar, Chak Madi K, and Megha Rai Hittar, as well as border villages at the Mattar Uttar. He called upon citizens of all ages and genders to prepare for this democratic exercise.
He emphasized the ethical dimension of voting, urging voters to follow their conscience when casting their ballots. He stressed the importance of voting without biases based on greed, fear, caste, language, or religion, underlining the significance of this responsibility in the context of the world's largest democracy. The SVEEP coordinator affirmed their commitment to responsible voting and pledged to mobilize more citizens to participate in this civic duty.
