203 Micro-Observers deployed in Ferozepur to monitor critical polling booths
Ferozepur, May 26, 2024: As many as 203 Micro-Observers have been deployed in Ferozepur district during the Lok Sabha Elections scheduled for June 1 to conduct elections fairly and peacefully.
These 203 Micro Observers are being deployed at sensitive booths to conduct the Lok Sabha elections 2024 fairly and peacefully in the district, they will report directly to the General Observer, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Rajesh Dhiman.
He said that preparations are on for conducting the Lok Sabha elections in the district safely and peacefully and all types of election staff have been trained in detail in this regard. All the 203 Micro-Observers from the institutions of the Government of India, including 23 at Constituency 75-Zira (Lok Sabha Constituency Khadoor Sahib) and at Vidhan Sabha Constituency 76-Firozepur Urban under Lok Sabha Constituency 10-Firozepur. 42, 54 observers in Vidhan Sabha Constituency 77-Firozepur Rural and 84 observers have been posted in Vidhan Sabha Constituency 78-Guruharshai who will monitor the sensitive booths as representatives of the General Observer and report to the General Observer after the election.
He said that during the elections, these Micro-Observers will keep an eye on everything from the mock poll to the security at the polling station, election staff, parties' agents, etc.
