Reception-cum-Help Desk setup for public convenience in DAC Ferozepur
Ferozepur, June 25, 2024: For the convenience of public, a Reception and Help Desk has been set up in the District Administrative Complex (DAC) – DC’s office, near the entrance gate, as per the directions of Chief Minister, Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, to save the common people from hassles and to ensure them the benefit of government services in a transparent manner within the stipulated time, said Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner.
Rajesh Dhiman, DC said that the aim of this Reception-cum-Help Desk is to welcome and help the common people to get their government facilities/administrative work done so that they do not suffer due to lack of information and do not have to wait for a long time.
He said that the district administration has to provide transparent, accountable and effective administration to the common people. All the officials have been instructed to ensure that all citizen-centric services in the government offices are provided to the people transparently and within the stipulated time.
Suraj, Assistant Commissioner said that a Reception-cum-Help Desk will work on all working days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. After listening to the people coming to work at the desk, they will be supported to go to the respective office. The desk team members will also inform the general public about the officer's name and the floor on which the office is located so that people do not get confused and do not go here and there in search of the concerned office. He said that more than 130 people have benefited from this Reception-cum-Help Desk.
