50-bed Critical Care Hospital to come up in Fazilka – MLA Sawna
Under Govt’s health scheme, MLA Sawna inaugurates Free Medical Camp in Fazilka
Fazilka, July 7, 2024: A free medical camp was organised today at village Kheowali Dhab, under the aegis of the Punjab Government's healthcare scheme. The camp was inaugurated by MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, in the presence of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Popli, and other dignitaries.
The medical camp provided free medical check-ups and medicines to the villagers. Specialist doctors from various fields, including ophthalmology, psychiatry, dentistry, orthopaedics, gynaecology, and general medicine, provided their services at the camp. Free ECG and other tests were also conducted at the camp.
MLA, Narindar Pal Singh Sawna, said that the Punjab Government is committed to providing quality healthcare services to the people, especially in rural areas. He also announced that a 50-bed critical care hospital will be established in Fazilka soon.
SSP, Dr. Pragya Jain, appreciated the health department's efforts to organise the camp. She said that such camps will be organized regularly in the future to provide healthcare services to the maximum number of people.
ADC Rakesh Kumar Popli said that the district administration is committed to providing better healthcare services to the people. He also distributed free plants and fruits to the patients at the camp.
The medical camp was a huge success, with a large number of villagers benefiting from the free healthcare services. The camp was organized in collaboration with the health department, Rural Development department and the Red Cross Society.
