Mayank Foundation celebrates Friendship Day with Green Plantation Campaign
Ferozepur, August 4, 2024: In a heartfelt celebration of Friendship Day, Mayank Foundation organized a community-wide plantation campaign, bringing together friends, families, and environmental enthusiasts to contribute to a greener and healthier environment. The plantation drive, held at Government Primary & High School, Toot, saw the enthusiastic participation of over 20 individuals united by their shared commitment to fostering both human and ecological bonds.
Mayank Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental conservation, community development, and education. Through various initiatives and campaigns, the foundation aims to create a sustainable and harmonious world for present and future generations.
The campaign kicked off at GPS Toot under the ongoing initiative of Each One Plant One. Project coordinator Charanjeet Singh informed that a variety of saplings, including Kadam, Bottle Palms, Erica Palms, Rose, Ficus Green, and Jacaranda, were planted, each chosen for its environmental benefits and suitability to the local climate.
"On this special day dedicated to friendship, we wanted to extend our love and camaraderie to Mother Earth. Planting saplings is one of the most effective ways to combat climate change, and by doing this together, we not only strengthen our bonds with each other but also with nature," said Harinder Bhullar of Mayank Foundation.
