Akali Dal core committee announces to call delegate session in November to prepare long term future agenda
Working Committee and Core Committee decided to hold a political conference at Isru, Baba Bakala and Longowal

Chandigarh, August 6, 2024: The Shiromani Akali Dal has today decided to hold a three-day delegate session in November at Sri Anandpur Sahib to decide the long-term future strategy of the party.
The decision regarding this was taken today in the core committee of the party which was chaired by party president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal.
The committee decided that the delegate session would discuss important issues including discrimination against Punjab, health, education, environment, NRI community, and strengthening the federal structure.
The core committee also decided that political conferences would be held on the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Karnail Singh Isru at Isru village of Khanna, at Baba Bakala on Rakhar Punya on August 19 and on the death anniversary of Sant Harchand Singh Longowal on August 20 at Longowal.
Meanwhile, the working committee and the core committee, whose meetings were held here today, also discussed the decisions taken by the disciplinary committee of the party on July 30 and August 1 for engaging in anti-party activities. Through these decisions, some leaders were expelled from the party.
Both the committee through the passed resolution decided to give full authority to the party president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal to fill the vacancies created due to death of some members and some members leaving the party and being expelled from the party. This approval was given under Article 5H and 29 of the party constitution.
Party President Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal took strong notice of the political vendetta against senior leader Sardar Bikram Singh Majithia.
Other members also expressed solidarity with Sardar Bikram Singh Majithia and said that the political vendetta against Sardar Majithia will not be tolerated. is pursuing a false and fake case and has tried to implicate Sardar Majithia by forming several SITs.
These members said that the present SIT has repeatedly issued summons to Sardar Majithia and tried to prevent him from participating in the court process so that the court can issue orders against him.
Senior party leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema while talking to the media said that the state government has failed to run the state and the debt of the state has increased to 3.5 lakh crore rupees and the AAP government has given a debt of 65 thousand crore rupees to the state.
He criticized the AAP government for taking loans to participate in capital projects.The working committee approved the nomination of new core committee members of the party for which the resolution has already been passed.
