Students of DBC, DCM Schools win medals in District-Level Swimming Competitions in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, September 29, 2024:In the district-level swimming competition held as part of the "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan" games, students from DC Model Senior Secondary School and Das & Brown World School earned multiple medals, bringing pride to their schools and parents.
Principal Yachna Chawla and Principal Dr. Rajesh Chandel reported that in the Under-14 Girls category, Guntas Dhindsa of Grade 7 secured a bronze medal in the 50-meter freestyle, while Shivli Rai of Grade 6 won two silver medals in the 50-meter and 100-meter breaststroke events.
In the Under-17 Girls category, Harshita of Grade 10 won two gold medals in the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke events, earning her a spot in the state-level championship. Additionally, Megha, an educator, qualified for the state championship in the Senior Girls category by excelling in the 100-meter and 200-meter backstroke events.
In the Under-14 Boys category, Lakshendra Thakur of Grade 6 secured two silver medals in the 50-meter freestyle and 50-meter breaststroke. Riyansh Monga of Grade 6 earned two silver medals in the 50-meter breaststroke and 200-meter freestyle, while Gurshan Kamboj of Grade 6 won a bronze medal in the 200-meter freestyle, also qualifying for the state competition.
The event was held at the district council’s swimming pool and the students were congratulated by their coaches, Navneet Bhullar and Megha.
