7th Badminton Championship in Ferozepur set to attract 400 players from North India

Ferozepur, September 29, 2024: The Mayank Foundation proudly announced the 7th edition of the Mayank Sharma Memorial Badminton Championship from November 15 to 17, 2024. The tournament, which commemorates the legacy of young shuttler Mayank Sharma, has gained prominence in North India’s sporting calendar and is expected to see over 400 players from various states competing.
The official poster for the event was unveiled at Raizada Hans Raj Stadium, Jalandhar, by former national player and Punjab Badminton Association treasurer, Ritin Khanna, kicking off the tournament's promotional activities. Approved by both the Punjab Badminton Association and the District Badminton Association, Ferozepur, the event promises top-tier competition and organisation.
Rakesh Kumar, founding member and project coordinator, expressed the significance of the event: "This championship isn’t just a competition; it’s a tribute to Mayank Sharma’s dedication and passion for badminton. We’re honoured to welcome 400 players to compete and carry forward his love for the sport."
