Vishwakarma Sabha celebrates Govardhan Puja and Vishwakarma Day in collaboration with Nations Development Association
Bishnah, November 3, 2024:Vishwakarma Sabha Bishnah in Collaboration Nations Development Association (NDA) joyously celebrated Govardhan Puja alongside Vishwakarma Day, uniting devotees in a heartfelt gathering to seek the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma. The event featured a Hawan and Bhajan-Kirtan, attracting participants from diverse backgrounds, including women and children, all coming together to honor the divine architect.
Prasad of Lord Vishwakarma was distributed, fostering a spirit of community that has been a tradition established by the late Tilak Raj Verma.
Sushil Singh Charak, Founder and General Secretary of NDA, emphasized the importance of this dual celebration, which is held annually in memory of Shri Tilak Raj Verma.
“On this day, we not only worship Vishwakarma Ji but also honor the tools of our trade, reflecting our respect for the craftsmanship and labor involved in our daily work,” Charak stated.
Shubham Verma, son of the late Tilak Raj Verma, expressed pride in continuing his father's legacy. "My father organized Vishwakarma Day and Govardhan Puja every year, bringing our community together in devotion and celebration," he shared.
Er. Ashu Kumar underscored the significance of worshipping Vishwakarma, noting that this day honors all artisans, engineers, and workers. “It symbolizes our respect for labor and craftsmanship, reminding us of the essential role of skill and creativity in building a prosperous community,” he remarked.
The event also featured traditional rituals, cultural performances, and a communal feast, enhancing community bonds and celebrating the richness of cultural heritage. Community members, including Hritik Verma, Pankaj Manotra, Rishav Verma, Mohit Verma and Ajay Kumar, actively participated in the festivities, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere of unity and celebration.
