  Chandigarh, November 11, 2024: Punjab Government today got partial relief in Supreme Court on issue of Municipal Corporation elections in the state.
  
  SupremeCourt upholds High Court direction to State of Punjab to notify #Election process for #Municipality elections but giving some relief directs that the elections be notified within 2 weeks and completed within 8 weeks thereafter Bench: Justices Surya Kant and Ujjal Bhuyan

  State government had challenged order of Punjab and Haryana High Court on issuing notifications in two weeks for the elections but today Supreme Court granted eight weeks time to the government to issue notification and conduct elections. ( Source Live Law )
