35 Units donated at SBS State University Blood Camp to combat Dengue

Ferozepur, November 11, 2024: SBS State University Ferozepur's Red Ribbon Clubs, in collaboration with Lion Club Ferozepur Sutlej, organized a successful blood donation camp, responding to the urgent demand for blood due to the rise in dengue cases. Faculty, staff, and students generously participated, contributing a total of 35 units of blood, collected by Dr. Diswan Bajwa’s team from Civil Hospital Ferozepur.
The event saw active participation from the Assistant Director of Youth Services Department, Jaspal Singh, and former Assistant Director Jagjit Singh Chahal, who also donated blood.
University Vice Chancellor Dr. Sushil Mittal and Campus Registrar Dr. Ghazalpreet Singh praised the initiative, commending both the student and staff donors and encouraging the continuation of such efforts. They extended special thanks to Lion Club Ferozepur Sutlej's President Parmod Aggarwal and Secretary Nitin Agarwal for their support.
Present at the event were Red Ribbon Clubs Nodal Officers Gurpreet Singh, Yashpal, Jagdeep Singh Mangat, and Gurjivan Singh, along with NSS Program Officer Jasvir Chand, Health Center Incharge Madhav Gopal, Kamal Bhatti, and students Tushar Agarwal and Munish Kumar. The Lion Club Ferozepur Sutlej honoured student donors with refreshments, medals, and mementos in appreciation of their life-saving contributions.
