Mayank Foundation hosts 3-day Nature Camp for 50 students at Hussainiwala Wetland
Ferozepur, 14 November, 2024: Mayank Foundation under ‘Environment Education Programme’ in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh and the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, is organizing a special “Nature Camp” at the Hussainiwala Wetland. This three-day camp, beginning on November 15,2024, will provide 50 school and college students with a unique opportunity to connect with nature.
Camp Coordinators Gurpreet Singh & Ashwani sharma informed that the purpose of this camp is to educate students on the importance of environmental conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable development. The Hussainiwala Wetland, known for its rich variety of flora and fauna, will allow students to explore different aspects of nature up close and develop awareness toward environmental protection.
During the camp, students will receive guidance from experts on the importance of wetlands, ecological balance, and biodiversity conservation. The camp will feature nature walks, educational sessions, and hands-on activities designed to make learning enjoyable and help students build a deeper bond with nature. Through this initiative, Mayank Foundation aims not only to bring students closer to nature but also to instill a sense of responsibility toward environmental conservation and sustainable development. We hope this camp will inspire students to understand the significance of environmental protection and actively contribute to it.
