Blasphemy case: AAP MLA's sentence suspended by High Court

Chandigarh, December 5, 2024 – The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday suspended the sentence of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Yadav from Mehrauli, Delhi, in the 2016 sacrilege case.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday suspended the sentence of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Yadav from Delhi's Mehrauli in the 2016 blasphemy case. On November 29, the Malerkotla court sentenced Yadav to two years in prison.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Naresh Yadav was convicted by the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Parminder Singh Grewal. Now, a High Court bench headed by Justice Mahabir Singh Sindhu sought records from the trial court as well as the district and sessions court.
