Punjab Home Guards celebrate 62nd Foundation Day with enthusiasm and honour
Ferozepur, December 6, 2024: The Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defense Department marked its 62nd Foundation Day with a grand celebration at the Divisional Commandant Headquarters in Ferozepur. The event highlighted the organization's dedication and commitment to serving the nation.
Messages of congratulations from dignitaries, including President of India Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Home Secretary Vivek Srivastava, Director of Civil Defense, and Punjab Special DGP Sanjiv Kalra, were read during the ceremony. These messages applauded the Home Guards for their commendable service and dedication.
Prominent officials and officers, including Chief Warden Parminder Singh Thind, Deputy Chief Warden Prem Nath Sharma, Post Wardens Arun Sharma and Rajesh Kumar, and District Commander Rajinder Krishna, were honored for their exemplary service. Wakil Singh, Sub Battalion Commander, was also recognized for his outstanding contributions at various duty stations.
Company Commander Parminder Singh Bath, who hosted the event, praised the relentless efforts of the Punjab Home Guards. Chief Warden Parminder Singh Thind, in his address, lauded the dedication of the personnel and encouraged them to aim for even higher standards of service. Letters of appreciation were presented to distinguished personnel, and young achievers were felicitated for their contributions.
