Breaking: HS Phoolka announces to join Akali Dal; Watch Video

Chandigarh, December 7, 2024: Senior advocate HS Phoolka on Saturday announced to rejoin politics. He said he would join the Shiromani Akali Dal soon.
Addressing a press conference at Chandigarh, Phoolka said that following the recent developments regarding Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, it was necessary to strengthen the state's regional party.
"Punjab needs regional party and it is the right time to revive the Akali Dal. The current leadership today admitted their mistakes and now it is a new hope for all the people who wanted to join Akali Dal for long," said Phoolka.

He appealed to the core committee of the SAD to start a membership drive. He said he would fill the membership form of the party and will look to restore the glory of the original Akali Dal.

He added, "Currently, I am not looking to contest any election. Also, I do need any designation in the party. My intention is to join Akali Dal because it is the only regional party and we need to strengthen it by inducting new members."
Notably, Phoolka also remained in the Aam Aadmi party.
