Revenue officers and Tehsildars will not go on strike - Decision announced after meeting with Revenue Minister
Punjab Revenue Officers Association meets Revenue Minister
Chandigarh, January 13, 2025: Punjab Revenue Officers will not go on strike from January 14 and registration work in tehsils will be done as usual. This announcement was made by the Revenue Officers Association after a meeting with the Revenue Minister. The statement said that the vigilance had registered a case against senior IAS Tehsildar Channi. The officer shared the letter regarding the investigation being conducted and assured that the suspended Tehsildars will also be reinstated soon.
Today on 13/01/2025, representatives of the Punjab Revenue Officers Association met the Revenue Minister. During this, two main demands of the union - investigation of the false case against Tehsildar Sukhcharan Singh Channi by a senior IAS officer and reinstatement of suspended Tehsildars - were discussed.
The union thanked the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and Finance Commissioner Revenue. Keeping in mind the assurance given by him, the union decided to continue working in the tehsils.
