President Launches 'Spiritual Education Project for Holistic Well-being' in Hisar
Chandigarh, March 10, 2025: President of India Droupadi Murmu launched the 'Spiritual Education Project for Holistic Well-being' during the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya in Hisar. She emphasized the significance of spirituality in the all-round development of society and extended her best wishes to all involved in organizing the event.
Addressing the gathering, the President acknowledged the blessings of Pitashree Prajapita Brahma Baba as the foundation of the institution’s 50-year journey. She paid tribute to his spiritual legacy and commended the organization's contributions to society through selfless service and dedication.
The President also reflected on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, recalling how Krishna's guidance to Arjuna about wisdom, equanimity, and devotion remains relevant today. She urged individuals to harness spiritual energy to overcome challenges and achieve personal and social growth.
Highlighting the universal nature of spirituality, the President stated that systems built on spiritual principles—whether social, economic, scientific, cultural, or political—remain ethical and sustainable. She praised the Brahma Kumari centres for spreading social and economic education in around 150 countries.
Referring to the venue’s name, Peace Palace, the President recalled the influence of Russian thinker Tolstoy’s book, Vaikunth Tumhare Hriday Mein Hai, often mentioned by Mahatma Gandhi. She noted that true peace and bliss are found within and that spiritual education fosters a holistic lifestyle rooted in inner harmony.
The President lauded the Brahma Kumari Sansthan for its contributions to national and social service, including initiatives such as the Drug-Free India campaign, water conservation efforts, women's empowerment programs, and the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
Earlier, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya welcomed President Droupadi Murmu to Haryana and praised the Brahma Kumari organization for its role in societal transformation. He highlighted its extensive welfare work in education, health, and social upliftment, with over 25,000 Rajyogis dedicated to promoting mental peace and progress.
