Chandigarh, December 8: Though the final results of Assembly elections in four states including MP, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh are being eagerly awaited nationwide but the BJP appears to be on the path of big victory in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and engaged in close contest in Delhi and Chhattisgarh with Aam Aadmi Party and BJP respectively. It is also significant that Shiromani Akali Dal has also scripted a new political history by winning two seats in National Capital so far. The SAD candidates Manjinder Singh Sirsa has won Rajouri Seat by a margin of about 12000 votes while Harmit Singh Kaleka has bagged Kalekaji Assembly seat in Delhi. The most significant development which sprung surprise is the popularity of Aam Aadmi Party recently came into existence which has so far established its lead on 29 seats next to BJP giving a severe blow to the Congress party. The political observers feel that the people have voted massively in favour of AAP fed up with the anti-people policies of the ruling Congress party. The results are being curiously watched as these Assembly elections are considered as a semi-final for the coming Lok Sabha Elections in 2014. The Congress has accepted its defeat and calls for introspection. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit who had been Chief Minister of Delhi for four times has submitted her resignation to the Lt. Governor Delhi. Similarly, Ashok Gahlot of CM Rajasthan has accepted his defeat as the people of the state voted overwhelming in favour of BJP led by former CM Vasundra Raje. In Madhya Pradesh BJP Chief Minister Shiv Raj Chauhan has overcome anti-incumbency on the back of his popularity and people friendly policies. In Chhattisgarh there is a close contest between Congress and BJP and as per the latest trend the BJP is ahead in this state.
