Omaxe City should pay the pending principal amount within two months: Krishan Lal Panwar

Chandigarh, April 21, 2025 - Haryana's Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar directed the local Omaxe City officials to ensure payment of the pending principal amount within two months, otherwise an FIR will be lodged against Omaxe City.He said that if additional charge has been imposed on Omaxe City without any reason, then it will be refunded.
Development and Panchayat Minister Krishan Lal Panwar was presiding over the monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievance Committee in Rohtak district on Monday.
A total 13 complaints were placed in the meeting of this committee, out of which seven complaints were settled on the spot and instructions were given to submit a report in respect of the other 6 complaints.
Hearing a complaint, he said that the amount of pending electricity bill by Omaxe City and the pending amount of the work of 33 KV sub-station power house etc. should be paid within two months.The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has been asked to issue personal electricity meters to the residents living in Omaxe on payment of the pending amount.
Omaxe has to pay pending electricity bill of more than Rs 72 lakh and deposit an amount of more than Rs 5 crore as bank guarantee. The ownership of the land has been transferred by Omaxe City.
The Development and Panchayat Minister, while hearing the complaint related to the closure of the factory being run illegally, said that if the complainant has reached a mutual settlement, then action should be taken against him for misleading the committee.
While praising Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, he said that it has been decided to give ownership rights to the people living in houses built on Shamlat land in rural areas of the state for more than 20 years provided that such houses have been built in 500 square yards of land for the last 20 years and these houses have not been constructed on pond or road land.
He said that the powers to regularize such houses by depositing the prescribed collector rate have been handed over to the Director General of the department.
