Punjab Ministers visit Ferozepur to assess border situation after Pakistan drone attack

Ferozepur (Punjab), May 10, 2025 — In line with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s commitment to supporting the residents of border areas, Cabinet Ministers Gurmeet Singh Khudian and Hardeep Singh Mundian visited Ferozepur district to evaluate the situation following a Pakistan drone strike at Khai Pheme Ki village.
The ministers met with the injured at the local hospital, offering assurances of all possible support from the state government and wishing them a speedy recovery.

They also held discussions with hospital staff, doctors, and civil and police authorities to ensure effective emergency preparedness, including stocking essential medicines and ensuring sufficient medical facilities.
Emphasizing the importance of safety during these difficult times, the ministers urged Ferozepur residents to strictly follow government advisories, including blackout instructions, to prevent further incidents.
They reiterated Punjab’s firm support for national security forces and assured the public of ongoing efforts to ensure their safety.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is personally overseeing the situation, ensuring that state and district officials take appropriate measures. Local MLAs, police, and civil officials were also present during the visits, underscoring the importance of unity and cooperation among residents during this sensitive time.
