Mohali declared drone no-fly zone till further orders

SAS Nagar (Punjab), May 8, 2025 – In a significant security measure, the district administration of SAS Nagar (Mohali) has declared the entire district a “No Flying Zone” for unauthorized drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) starting May 8, 2025, until further orders.
The order, issued under the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, aims to prevent the misuse of drones for unlawful purposes.
As per the directive, any drone or UAV operation without proper authorization is strictly prohibited across the district.
Authorities have clarified that only personnel from the police, paramilitary forces, Indian Air Force, Special Protection Group (SPG), and other government-authorized entities are exempt from this restriction.
