BJP’s Sukhwinder Bindra, Union Minister Banwari Lal visit flood-affected areas

Ludhiana (Punjab), September 13, 2025: Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, National Member (NISD) and Special Member (NCCDR) of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (Government of India), welcomed Hon’ble Union Minister of State Banwari Lal Verma (Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution) on his arrival in Ludhiana.
Sukhwinder Singh Bindra, along with Union Minister B.L. Verma, visited the flood-affected areas near the Sutlej River. They toured the flood-hit villages of Dolo Kala, Bholewal, and several others in the surrounding areas of the Sutlej River. On this occasion, BJP Rural President Sunny Kaith, North Constituency Incharge Praveen Bansal, General Secretary Narinder Singh Malli, senior leader Manish Chopra, and other party workers were also present.
Union Minister B.L. Verma stated that the Central Government always stands with the farmers. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has allocated ₹1600 crore for the flood-affected people of Punjab. BJP always ensures the welfare and interests of farmers. Bindra assured that his department will extend every possible help to the flood-affected people.
Union Minister B.L. Verma further said that the objective of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment is to promote social justice, equality, and empowerment of disadvantaged communities. His initiative aims at strengthening social justice and equality for the marginalized sections of society.
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs’ efforts are focused on educating consumers about their rights and promoting fair trade practices. The Consumer Protection Act has been implemented to safeguard the rights and interests of consumers.
