Haryana CM Saini leads delegation to Japan, invites TDK and partners to invest in state

Chandigarh, October 6, 2025: A high-level delegation from Haryana, led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, met with representatives of major Japanese companies in Tokyo today, inviting them to invest in the state. Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh accompanied the delegation.
A key discussion was held with TDK Corporation, a leading Japanese electronics firm, focusing on collaboration in electronic components, sensors, and magnetic materials.
Notably, ATL Battery, a TDK subsidiary, is setting up India’s largest lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant in EMC Sohna, Haryana, a project expected to boost energy storage technology, employment, and innovation in the state.
During the meeting, other TDK partners were also encouraged to invest in building a strong electronics manufacturing ecosystem in Haryana.
Chief Minister Saini highlighted Haryana’s investor-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and the government’s “Ease of Doing Business” initiative, which offers single-window clearance for all necessary approvals to accelerate industrial development.
Pointing to Gurugram’s status as a base for over 250 Fortune 500 companies, Saini emphasized Haryana’s strategic advantage as a cost-effective and efficient business hub in the Delhi NCR region, supported by robust infrastructure. The Chief Minister assured full government support to ensure the success of new enterprises.
Senior officials accompanying the delegation included Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary Industries Dr. Amit Agrawal, Commissioner and Secretary Foreign Cooperation Amneet P. Kumar, and MD Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Yash Garg.
