Rajbhasha fever grips Ferozepur Rail Division, felicitates 51 winners with awards, culture and creativity
Ferozepur, October 6, 2025: The Ferozepur Railway Division concluded its Rajbhasha Puraskar Distribution and Valedictory Ceremony at the Railway Officers’ Club today. The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar, Additional DRM & Additional Chief Rajbhasha Officer Nitin Garg, along with other senior officials.
A cultural program “Abhivyakti” added flavour to the occasion, featuring a soulful song by Ashok Kumar (Technician-II, Diesel Shed, Ludhiana), a poem by Krishna Keshav Amar (Clerk-cum-Typist, Diesel Shed, Ludhiana), and a thoughtful presentation on “Population Control Law: Need of the Hour” by Pooja (Assistant Train Clerk, Ferozepur Division).
During the ceremony, DRM Sanjeev Kumar felicitated 40 winners of various competitions held during Rajbhasha Pakhwada 2025 and also honoured 1 officer and 10 employees under the Rajbhasha Incentive Scheme 2024–25.
Rajbhasha Pakhwada 2025 had commenced under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Home & Cooperation Minister at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on September 14–15. As part of the fortnight, departments across the Division held Hindi-related workshops, tool and font inspections, and meetings of the Rajbhasha Implementation Committees at Ferozepur and Ludhiana.
Various competitions — essay writing, Hindi poetry recitation on the birth anniversary of Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, drafting & noting, quiz, and speech contests — saw enthusiastic participation from railway staff.
The programs were successfully conducted under the guidance of Additional Chief Rajbhasha Officer, with the valedictory ceremony coordinated by Assistant Divisional Material Manager & Rajbhasha Officer Mastaram Meena, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Senior Translator Anjali Sharma.
