  Tarn Taran (Punjab), October 25, 2025: Congress suffered a significant setback ahead of the upcoming Tarn Taran by-election, as two of its senior leaders from the constituency officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi today.
  
  The leaders who switched allegiance include Ranjit Singh Dhillon (Rana Gandivind), who served as Chairman of the Block Committee and PPCC Coordinator, and Advocate Jagmeet Singh Dhillon Gandivind, who was the President of Bulhara and Block Congress Committee Gandivind in Punjab.
