Chandigarh, November 11, 2025: In a spiritually uplifting and unprecedented initiative, more than 35,000 schools across Punjab conducted special morning assemblies on Monday, marking the launch of a 15-day Education Module dedicated to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
Nearly 70 lakh students from Government, Private, and Aided schools—from Nursery to Class 12, across all education boards—participated in the reflective sessions focused on the Guru’s life, supreme sacrifice, and teachings of righteousness, truth, and justice.
Expressing deep satisfaction over the remarkable response, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said, “What we witnessed today is not merely an event, but a movement. To see over 70 lakh young students collectively reflecting upon the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji for the protection of faith and justice is profoundly inspiring. This initiative forms the cornerstone of our government’s vision to nurture not only scholars but conscientious citizens with strong moral foundations.”
Bains added that by integrating these moral teachings into the school curriculum, the Punjab Government—under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann—is creating a lasting moral compass for future generations.
The module, which runs until November 30, 2025, includes 10–12 minute morning assemblies focusing on the lives of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Mata Gujri Ji, and the creation of the Khalsa Panth.
Schools will also host special lectures, poetry recitations, speech contests, essay writing competitions, and distribute historical literature to strengthen students’ understanding of Punjab’s rich spiritual and moral heritage.
