Murder of RSS leader’s grandson: Jakhar visits Ferozepur, seeks swift justice for Arora family
Ferozepur, November 18, 2025: BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar visited Ferozepur today to attend the Bhog ceremony of Naveen Arora, grandson of senior RSS leader Baldev Arora, who was brutally murdered four days ago.
Naveen was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his residence, a crime that sparked shock and outrage across the region. According to initial reports, unknown shooters fired multiple rounds at Naveen before fleeing the spot, leaving behind no immediate clues. The police have been investigating the case since, but no arrests have been made so far.
Jakhar met the grieving family and expressed deep sorrow over the loss. He strongly condemned the incident and demanded swift action, stating that the killers must be apprehended at the earliest and brought to justice.
Speaking to the media, Jakhar said that Naveen’s murder was not a case of gang rivalry but “a deliberate act stemming from a dirty mindset and a direct attack on Punjabi brotherhood and social harmony.” He added that the increasing presence of drugs and illegal weapons in Punjab was responsible for such crimes, calling the situation alarming.
Jakhar also demanded that the Punjab Government provide a government job to Naveen Arora’s widow, calling it the least that could be done for the family. When questioned about the possibility of the government not fulfilling this demand, Jakhar responded firmly,
“If the Punjab Government does not give her a job, we will ensure she gets one.”
He further criticised the state government’s failure to control crime, recalling that CM Arvind Kejriwal had once given gangsters a seven-day ultimatum in Tarn Taran. “Stop playing political games; take responsibility for Punjab,” Jakhar said.
Before concluding, he emphasised,“I am speaking today not as a politician, but as a Punjabi. What has happened is extremely tragic and unacceptable.”
