BSF celebrates 60 Glorious Years with Institutional Outreach in dozens of Govt Schools
Ferozepur, November 11, 225: The Border Security Force (BSF) proudly celebrated its Diamond Jubilee, commemorating 60 years of unwavering dedication, supreme sacrifice and steadfast service to the nation. Sector Headquarters Ferozepur along with all under-command battalions organized a series of events to honour this historic milestone.
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, conducted under the nationwide theme 'A Mass Campaign of Institutional Outreach', various programmes were organized across schools in the border belt from 17 November 2025 onward. The outreach activities were organized in numerous educational institutions including Govt. Sr. Sec. School Gattirajoke, Guru Amar Das International School, Sadderdin Wala (Ferozepur–Fazilka Road), Saint Francis Convent School Wakha, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Memorial School Wakha, Sr. Sec. School Juggian Natha Singh Muthianwala, City Heart School Mamdot, Govt. Middle School Pharuwala, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Changa Khurd, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Dona Mattar, Govt. Sr. Sec. School Hazara Singh Wala, Govt. Middle Smart School Lakha Singh Wala, PM Shri Senior Secondary School Mudki, PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School Talwandi, among many other institutions in the border belt region.
The initiative aimed to create greater awareness among students and teachers about the role, responsibilities, and invaluable contributions of BSF in ensuring national security.
During the sessions, students were briefed on the importance of border management, operational vigilance, and the sacrifices made by BSF personnel while safeguarding India’s frontiers. Special emphasis was placed on BSF’s role during major national events including the Indo-Pak Wars of 1971 and 1999, and Operation Sindoor, highlighting the force’s bravery and commitment during challenging times.
The outreach events received enthusiastic participation from students, school staff, and the local community, contributing to a deeper understanding of the BSF’s vital role as India’s First Line of Defence.
