Chandigarh, December 5 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has ordered strict disciplinary action after fraudulent activities were detected on the E-Kshatipurti portal, where Patwaris repeatedly uploaded identical photographs to falsely report crop damage.
Taking serious note of the misuse of government funds, the Chief Minister directed immediate suspension of all officials involved. Patwaris from Jui Khurd (Bhiwani), Boripur (Kurukshetra), Kalawan (Jind), Jandwala (Fatehabad), Pataudi (Gurugram), and Nimli (Dadri) have been suspended pending a detailed inquiry. More officials may face action as the investigation progresses.
Chairing a review meeting on the Revenue Department’s budget announcements, the Chief Minister said the government’s priority is to ensure that genuine farmers receive compensation without delay and without discrimination. He expressed concern over fraudulent assessments and reiterated that transparency in reporting crop losses is non-negotiable.
Saini directed Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Dr. Sumita Misra to collect district-wise reports immediately and ensure that compensation reaches all affected farmers within a week.
He recalled issuing earlier instructions for impartial crop loss assessments after excessive monsoon rains but noted that some officials not only delayed reports but also filed false entries, including fake photographs and claims from unaffected fields.
Senior officials including ACS Revenue Dr. Sumita Misra, Commissioner & Secretary Finance Mohammed Shayin, and other senior officers attended the meeting.
