District-Level Teachers’ Festival Held with enthusiasm; 123 teachers showcase talent in 10 competitions
Ferozepur, November 7, 2025: The Education Department (Secondary), Ferozepur, under the guidance of the District Education Officer and the Deputy District Education Officer, organised a vibrant District-Level Teachers’ Festival at Government High School, Jhok Harihar. A total of 123 teachers participated, displaying their skills across 10 categories, including teaching-related models, charts, learning apps, games, special kits, calligraphy, and IT tools.
Inaugurating the festival, District Education Officer Munila Arora said that such events help refine teachers’ talents and enhance the effectiveness of the teaching-learning process. She also highlighted the various initiatives being undertaken by the department to improve the standard of education in government schools.
During the prize distribution ceremony, Deputy District Education Officer Dr. Satinder Singh congratulated the winning teachers and stated that teachers possess the unique ability to bring meaningful changes in society. Events like this, he added, help expand teachers’ capabilities and make classroom activities more engaging and beneficial for students.
School Head Avtar Singh and his staff ensured excellent arrangements for the event. Avtar Singh noted that a true teacher is one who always remains eager to learn. Teachers impressed the audience by presenting innovative ideas, subject-based teaching aids and modern educational practices.
Winners securing first, second and third positions in the ten categories were honoured with special awards, kits, and certificates. All participating teachers received appreciation letters. Judges for the various categories played an important role in evaluating the presentations.
Among those present were Charan Singh, Umesh Kumar, Kapil Sannan, Joginder Singh (school heads), BRC Rajiv Sharma, Amit Narang, Inderpal Singh, Harpreet Singh, Kamal Wadhwa, Amit Anand, Praveen Kumar, along with staff members and teachers from various schools in large numbers.
The stage was efficiently conducted by Sukhjinder Singh Goldy, Lecturer.
