“Make sure to focus on both your schoolwork and sports. This helps you grow as a complete person and opens more doors for you later on” These views were expressed by District Police Chief Amneet Kondal while attending the last day of the annual two-day athletics meet at the local Police Public School as the chief guest.
Gracing the occasion as special guest was AIG Counter Intelligence Avneet Kaur Sidhu joined by SP Headquarters Jagdish Bishnoi and the school's Principal, Madam Monica Singh.
On this occasion, SSP Amneet Kondal encouraged the students and said that sports not only make the body strong, but also make the mentality positive. She also said that through sports, the qualities of discipline and teamwork are naturally developed in students and youth.
These activities instil confidence in the mind and reduce stress, which further strengthens the mental development of the person, she said further
She said that the campaign launched by the state government against drugs is showing positive results. She said that this campaign is proving helpful in connecting the youth with sports.
During this, she congratulated the students who performed well in sports and also honoured the winning students.
