  Chandigarh, December 13, 2025: State Election Commission (SEC) had directed Deputy Commissioner cum District Electoral Officers to ensure that ballot papers are kept under tight vigil. It also asked them to ensure that no external or duplicate ballot papers are used in the election. Voting is scheduled for December 14, 2025.
  
  Direction of the Commission has come at a time when former Chief Minister and MP Charanjit Singh Channi had apprehended that duplicate ballot papers will be used by the ruling party in the election.
