Bhog and Antim Ardas of Master Tara Singh Ladal draws leaders across party lines in Rupnagar

Rupnagar (Punjab), December 14, 2025: Leaders from various political parties, along with representatives of religious and social organisations, attended the Bhog and Antim Ardas ceremony of former Punjab Education Minister Master Tara Singh Ladal and paid rich tributes to him.
Former minister Master Tara Singh Ladal passed away on December 6. He served as an MLA from Sri Anandpur Sahib during the 1997 Akali government, during which he was appointed as a minister. He also earlier served as District President of Ropar.
The Bhog of Shri Sehaj Path, which had commenced a day earlier at his residence, was performed at Gurdwara Head Darbar Kot Puran Tibbi Sahib, Rupnagar. A devotional kirtan was performed by the Kirtani Jatha on the occasion. Stage proceedings were also held in memory of Master Tara Singh Ladal’s close associate, Pritam Singh Sallomajra (Master Ji).

Remembering the services of Master Tara Singh Ladal, Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema said that Master Ji was a far-sighted leader who worked tirelessly for the progress of the Shiromani Akali Dal throughout his life. He added that the party would always remember his invaluable contributions.
Constituency MLA Advocate Dinesh Chadha said that the younger generation of politicians has much to learn from the life of Master Tara Singh Ladal. He noted that by following his example, young leaders can become not only better politicians but also better human beings.
Several religious and social organisations also conveyed their condolence messages. At the Gurdwara Head Darbar Kot Puran Tibbi Sahib, the atmosphere was filled with emotion, and those who knew Master Tara Singh Ladal recalled his love and compassion for the poor and the people of his constituency.
