Bathinda district stands out across Punjab for efficiently handling applications related to various services offered to the public. With 34 service centers operating in the district, it maintains an impressively low pendency rate of just 0.13%.

Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman reported that a total of 278,873 applications were submitted across 34 service centers in the district between December 16, 2024, and December 15, 2025. Out of these, 261,835 applications have been approved, while the rest remain under processing and will be finalized shortly.
Poonam Singh, who is the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, said they've made things easier for pensioners with their new digital 'Pensioner Seva Portal'.
She mentioned that in the initial phase, the portal has incorporated six key services such as e-KYC, life certificate submission, issuance of complaint certificates, lodging complaints, family pension applications, and LTC applications, among others.
Providing further details, the District Manager of Sewa Kendra, Rajvir Singh, stated that citizens can benefit from the services offered by Sewa Kendras by simply calling the toll-free number 1076 from the comfort of their homes to access information and avail themselves of the available services.
