New Delhi, December 22, 2025: Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar was produced before Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Monday in connection with a case linked to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The case relates to an FIR registered at Janakpuri and Vikaspuri police stations over incidents of violence and killings that took place in the aftermath of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination.
After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its order and stated that the verdict would be pronounced on January 22.
The case is part of multiple prosecutions arising from the communal violence that erupted in several parts of Delhi in 1984, particularly in the Janakpuri and Vikaspuri areas, where several Sikh families were targeted.
