Ferozepur, December 31, 2025: Mayank Foundation, an active social organization in Ferozepur, is making remarkable contributions in the fields of education, sports, art, environment, and social awareness, with a strong focus on the holistic development of children. The Foundation aims to provide equal opportunities to children from all sections of society and nurture them into self-reliant, aware, and responsible citizens.
Mayank Foundation firmly believes that the progress of any society is directly linked to the development of its children. With this vision, the Foundation organizes various programs throughout the year, ensuring direct benefits reach children and underprivileged sections of society.
Special Focus on Education and Empowerment
To promote girls’ education, Mayank Foundation annually awards scholarships to 39 meritorious girls under the Pratibha Girls Scholarship Scheme, distributing a total amount of ₹3.90 lakh. Additionally, through Santosh Seva Kunj, the Foundation runs free stitching schools, girls’ education classes, and coaching centers, empowering women and girls to become self-reliant.
A Platform for Sports, Recognition, and Creativity
Recognizing sports as a powerful medium for physical and mental development, Mayank Foundation organizes the Mayank Sharma Memorial Badminton Tournament every year. The recently concluded 8th edition witnessed participation from around 400 players representing seven states of India, showcasing true sportsmanship and discipline.
To further encourage sporting talent, the Foundation has also instituted the Mayank Sharma Memorial Sports Excellence Awards. These awards honor emerging athletes, coaches, and distinguished contributors to sports at the national and state levels. The initiative aims to motivate young sportspersons and instill confidence to pursue sports as a career.
In addition, to nurture artistic talent among children, the Foundation organizes an annual painting competition in which thousands of children express their creativity on canvas.
Social Awareness and Community Service
To promote road safety awareness, the Foundation regularly conducts programs in schools and colleges. During the National Road Safety Month, a state-level walkathon was organized in Ferozepur, along with helmet distribution under the campaign “Yeh Diwali Helmet Wali”.
In the healthcare sector, Mayank Foundation has actively contributed by organizing two blood donation camps, collecting nearly 200 units of blood for those in need, with enthusiastic participation from its members.
Environmental Protection and Disaster Relief
Committed to environmental conservation, Mayank Foundation conducts plantation drives and, in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, organized a three-day program titled “The Green Canvas.” The initiative included a cyclathon with the support of the Indian Army, exhibitions of flowers and ornamental plants, and workshops on vermicomposting and kitchen gardening.
During the recent floods in Punjab, Mayank Foundation extended relief to affected families by providing drinking water, animal fodder, ration supplies, and essential items. The Foundation also supported the reconstruction of a house damaged by heavy rainfall.
