Students celebrate National Youth Day online on 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda
Ferozepur, January 12, 2026: Vivekananda World School (VWS) celebrated National Youth Day, commemorating the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, through an online programme marked by reverence, enthusiasm, and inspiration. Students, teachers, and parents joined the digital event in large numbers, making it a meaningful and engaging occasion.
Addressing the gathering, School Director Dr. S. N. Rudra highlighted that the thoughts and teachings of Swami Vivekananda continue to guide and motivate today’s youth. He said the great spiritual leader’s message, “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is achieved,” encourages young minds to develop self-confidence, perseverance, and a spirit of self-reliance.
During the programme, students showcased Swami Vivekananda’s ideals through creative digital presentations. Young learners took part in an online meditation session, conveying the importance of concentration and inner peace. Some students, dressed as Swami Vivekananda, recited his inspirational quotes, infusing the virtual atmosphere with energy and motivation.
Senior students administered the Youth Pledge, committing themselves to truth, honesty, self-discipline, and hard work. They also vowed to respect parents and teachers, serve the nation, and promote unity, harmony, and cooperation in society.
Dr. Rudra said such online initiatives play a vital role in strengthening students’ self-confidence, sense of duty, and responsibility, while guiding them towards a purposeful and bright future.
