ADM suspends license of six Immigration and Travel firms in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, January 15, 2026: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Ferozepur, Nidhi Kumud Bambah, PCS, has ordered the suspension of licences of six consultancy, IELTS coaching, travel and immigration-related firms operating in the district for failure to renew their license after expiry.
According to official information, the action has been taken under the provisions of the Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Act, 2012 and the Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Rules, 2013, also known as the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act. The licences of these firms were suspended with immediate effect as they continued operations despite the expiry of their licence validity.
The firms whose licences have been suspended include Kannan Tour & Travels, Ferozepur City; Eco Global Immigration Consultant, Ferozepur City; Abroad Masters, located opposite City Police Station, Ferozepur City; Arjun Immigration and Education Services Pvt. Ltd., Ferozepur City; Better World Immigration and Visa Consultant, Ferozepur Cantonment; and Gradico Consultants, near Dev Samaj College, Ferozepur City.
The ADM stated that the licence holders had been informed in writing to apply for renewal at least two months before the expiry of their licences. However, even after the expiry period, none of the firms submitted renewal applications nor surrendered their licences, thereby violating Section 5(2) of the Act.
Keeping these violations in view and in accordance with the directions laid down under Section 6(e) of the Act, the licences have been suspended with immediate effect. The ADM has directed the concerned licence holders to submit their replies within seven days of the issuance of the notice. In case no response is received within the stipulated period, it will be presumed that they have nothing to state, and ex parte proceedings will be initiated for cancellation of their licences.
