Govt School Science Master wins national honour for innovative teaching
Ferozepur, January 24, 2026: Sachin Kumar, Science Master at Government High School, Mohan Ke Hithar, Block Guruharsahai-2 of Ferozepur district, has brought laurels to the district and Punjab by achieving a remarkable feat at the national level. He was specially honoured by District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora for his outstanding achievement.
Science Teacher Sachin Kumar brings National Recognition to Ferozepur
Sharing details, DEO (Secondary) Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr Satinder Singh said that Sachin Kumar was selected among the top 14 innovative teachers from across the country in the National Teaching Learning Material (TLM) League Competition, conducted through “The Teacher App” by the Bharti Airtel Foundation. Notably, a total of 1,728 teachers from 16 states and Union Territories participated in the competition, from which Sachin Kumar emerged victorious.
Dr Satinder Singh said that the innovative Teaching Learning Material (TLM) prepared by Sachin Kumar was adjudged among the best for making classroom teaching more effective, engaging and student-friendly.
The award ceremony was held in New Delhi in the presence of CBSE Director (Training) Manoj Kumar Srivastava, NITI Aayog official Lieutenant Colonel Jitender Verma and Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises Rakesh Bharti Mittal. While congratulating the winners, the dignitaries described teachers like Sachin Kumar as pioneers of change, stating that such initiatives are transforming the face of government schools.
Expressing gratitude, Sachin Kumar dedicated his achievement to his students and fellow staff members. He also thanked academic mentors Deepak Kumar and Eshwaneet Singh from the Bharti Airtel Foundation for their guidance and support.
