Breaking News: Big action in Mohali Gurdwara Amb Sahib land sale case: Police registers FIR

Chandigarh, February 8, 2026: A long-running land dispute linked to the historic Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Mohali has now escalated into police action. In a major development, the police have registered a case against the gurdwara’s manager and six other individuals in connection with the controversy.
The FIR has been lodged at Sohana Police Station in Mohali. According to police records, a total of seven persons, including the Gurdwara Amb Sahib manager, have been named in the case. The dispute reportedly involves 44 marlas of land.

The land related to Gurdwara Amb Sahib has been under dispute for a considerable period. Allegations were being raised that rules and regulations were violated in matters concerning the high-value land.
Various parties had been demanding an official inquiry into the issue, following which the police have now initiated formal legal action.
