New Delhi, June 9, 2026: Senior BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa has accused Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal of attempting to create divisions between Sikh and Hindu communities through his recent remarks regarding Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids.
In a social media post, Sirsa alleged that Kejriwal, anticipating electoral setbacks in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, had made a “conspiratorial statement” aimed at disturbing communal harmony in the state.
Referring to Kejriwal’s claim that the Enforcement Directorate was conducting raids on Hindu businessmen, Sirsa said such statements could create unnecessary tensions between communities that have historically lived together peacefully in Punjab.
The BJP leader urged the Punjab Police to take action against Kejriwal, alleging that his remarks were intended to provoke unrest and disturb the state's social fabric.
“Punjab has always been a land of peace and brotherhood. Any attempt to create divisions between Sikh and Hindu communities must be dealt with seriously,” Sirsa said in his statement.
