Chandigarh, November 22, 2016: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal has issued a diktat to all his functionaries not to even make an oblique reference to Sutluj-Yamuna link canal or river waters on any stage in his presence during his 11 day protracted tour of Punjab lest the errant would lose the party ticket and even the party post.
Stating this here today, Punjab Revenue and information and public relations minister Bikram Majithia said that Kejriwal conspires to usurp Punjab waters for Delhi and his mother state Haryana and hence has adopted a stoic silence on the contentious water issues and had directed his party men in Punjab to follow suit.
The AAP’ flip flop on their recent Kapoori Morcha last week was not mere mismanagement but a part of larger design as following directions from Kejriwal, his minions in AAP were finding it difficult to wriggle out of imbroglio. “This was not a mere U turn on the party plank but somersault to hoodwink the credulous Punjabis”, said Majithia adding that the much flaunted Morcha was winded up in no time which reflect on how serious Kejriwal or his party was on protecting the waters of the state.
Majithia reminded that Punjab chief minister Parakash Singh Badal had launched Kapoori Morcha the day Indira Gandhi had the ceremonial cut for SYL and his long protracted efforts have given it a final burial when its land was handed over the its owners this week.
Sounding a caution to Punjabis, Majithia said that no Punjabi should take the Kejriwal’s acrobatics seriously of stuntman Kejriwal as he is merely offering lip service while in Punjab and changes his tone and tenor on reaching Delhi. His recent tour of poll bound Punjab has amply demonstrated his character.
Worried of fast losing his support base in Punjab, Kejriwal is making his last ditch efforts during his current tour and indications are, that like his earlier visits, this too would prove a flop show. He is clenching on to the straws like Bains brothers to compete with the SAD backed by mighty public support.
Stating that Kejriwal is compulsive liar and changes his stance on drop of his cap as evident from his political graph He refused to sign bail bond and preferred to go to jail when cornered in defamation case preferred by Nitin Gadkari but after two days meekly submitted bond papers for safe exit. Obviously, Majithia said Kejriwal failed to bear the brunt of jail for two days and have the audacity to compare himself with the tallest Punjab leader Parkash Singh Badal, who remained behind bars for 17 years during his political careers and has led political agitation for decades
