Ferozepur August 27, 2017: The Fazilka police in its crime report of August 26 released today revealed booking of 14 persons of village Himmatpura in Fazilka district for planning to disturb peace and law and order and damage of government property.
A case under Secion 188 has been registered on the complaint of Randev Singh, SI who got a tip-off that some persons have assembled in the field of Sukhdev Singh and planning to disturb the peace and law and order by damaging the government property in case the Dera Chief Ram Rahim is convicted.
Section 188 reads as - Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant.—Whoever, knowing that, by an order promulgated by a public servant lawfully empowered to promulgate such order, he is directed to abstain from a certain act, or to take certain order with certain property in his possession or under his management, disobeys such direction, shall, if such disobedience causes or tends to cause obstruction, annoyance or injury, or risk of obstruction, annoyance or injury, to any person lawfully employed, be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month or with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees, or with both.
Those booked are – Sukhdev Singh, Jaspal Singh, Surjit Singh, Jeetpal Singh, Manga Singh, Balbir Singh, Rajinder Kumar, Charna Singh, Varinder Partap Singh, Pappu Singh, Avtar Singh, Dvinder Singh Ritu and Sattu.
IO Rangdev Singh informed that Jaspal Singh, Surjit Sinh, Rajinder Kumar, Charna Singh, Varinder Partap Singh and Pappu Singh have been arrested while he remaining fled away.
